We do our best to ensure that the Mill Road Winter Fair is a safe and enjoyable event for all participants.
Stewards are available all day to assist visitors. They wear their fluorescent yellow safety jackets with “Mill Road Winter Fair” written on the back.
Four meeting points along the road are marked with an ‘M’ in case people get lost. See the brochure map for details.
The Control Centre is located at the Mill Road Baptist Church (on the Romsey side of Mill Road).
Anyone requiring First Aid is urged to contact the nearest steward or go to the First Aid point outside the Control Centre.
On the day of the Fair, Mill Road is closed to traffic, including cyclists, between East Road and Coleridge Road from 10.30am until 4.30pm. Diversions are signposted. The rest of Mill Road and adjoining streets are open to traffic. In some circumstances, the direction of traffic in adjacent streets is different from normal and some road barriers normally closed are open.
Although the road is closed, we encourage everyone to exercise caution as there are occasional traffic movements including the possibility of movements from the emergency services. We ask that everyone remains alert and complies promptly with any instructions from stewards or emergency services.
If you have any questions about the road closure please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07982 810343.
The Fair couldn't happen without the support of volunteers. We need people who can give some time throughout the year to help organise the Fair, as well as in the weeks leading up to the Fair and on the day itself.
